It was in the Summer of 2025 that Sam Anderson, our intrepid music director at St. Paul’s Episcopal KCMO, reached out to Dr. Eduardo Garcia-Novelli about a joint Evensong with his choir at Grace Cathedral Topeka. The plan was to do an Evensong in the Fall with the combined choirs at Grace and repeat the music in the Spring at St. Paul’s. As part of the project, I agreed to write a new setting of the Evening Canticles as well as the Preces and Responses. Here is the video of the Nunc Dimittis with Sam conducting the combined groups.
